Theirs is a story surrounded by love.
Her words: “Two careers, three houses, and two kids later we decided to venture city life in Chicago for almost 3 years now (we’re originally from Puerto Rico). Our house is bilingual. Our kids are too. They were both gifted to us on the same week in December, 5 years apart. Everything in our life has been a true blessing and this photo shoot is a celebration to our marriage and our kids, which have become the epicenter in every decision we make.”
I’ve been looking forward to photographing and sharing this amazing session. When this gorgeous mama contacted me last year and shared the significance of documenting their family, I knew it would be a beautiful story that she would want to keepsake and remember forever.

After all of this horsing around, the kids needed a snack and some water to refuel. This meant that mommy and daddy get a bit of a break and a little downtime! 😉
Even though we were in the thick of Chicago WINTER, it happened to be a particularly warm winter day! It almost reminded us of the fall season! A breath of fresh air is always good for the soul… and more pretty pictures. 🙂
To me, this just screams ‘I got you, boo.’ My husband tells me this all the time, and it’s kind of our little saying we say to each other when we’re in the throes of parenting. Hearing that results in an instantaneous shoulder drop of relaxation and a deep sigh of relief because I’m reminded that we’re in this together. (THANK GOODNESS!)
