In late April, our family went on a beach vacation in Siesta Key, Florida for a few days. Instead of throwing a big birthday bash for kids (our daughter who turned three and my son who turned one- just a couple weeks apart), we opted to go on an easy, low-key, fun trip. We rented a condo by the beach near our friends (and their lovely aunt and uncle), and we were able to get a few days of R&R, sunsets, margaritas, white SOFT sandy beaches, and warm Florida sun on our skin. Our kiddos loved it and we had a blast. Success! This may need to turn into an annual trip… us Chicagoans don’t get enough Vitamin D.

I have this below image hanging in our family room on a 16×20 canvas wrap. I love it so much! My little three year old loves to point out each member of the family to our friends who come over. And it makes me smile hearing how proud she is to be part of our family unit. It makes crafting, editing, and hanging these memories SO worth it!
Can’t forget to get images of mommy and daddy alone together… these captured moments start to become scarce, the more kids you have!
Family is everything.
Capturing these moments and spending time with them is so important. And you just can’t ever get that time back.
