Next up on the #TBT series of family stories is a special Fresh48 hospital session. (***You may recall this family’s amazing summer maternity session HERE.***) I had the privilege of documenting this family’s rainbow baby love story a few months ago, and I wasn’t prepared for how much emotion I would feel. What a lot of people don’t realize is the amount of time we also spend POST-SESSION on a client family. I’m often reliving these same memories as I’m culling (aka ‘narrowing down’) through the gallery of images. I tend to shoot from the heart, and so I draw from that emotion to merge my style of editing with the sentiment you see in my images. Fresh48 hospital sessions tend to be the most emotional-driven type of session I offer, hands-down. (Hellooooo oxytocin!!!)
Annie Leibovitz once said, “A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.”
I couldn’t agree more. Be prepared to fall in love with this family’s newest blessing, and may they inspire your heart to be full of gratitude and joy…

Good things come to those who are incredibly patient. They may be extra sleep deprived these days, but this family is finally complete as a family of four. (And besides, baby Griffin is so handsome and adorable, he’s worth it!!)
