I’ve been DYING to share this session with you guys!!! Technically, mama-to-be Jill is like family- her sweet little Nola, a whoodle, (the best breed in the world: wheaton-terrier/poodle mix) is related to MY own whoodle, Kona. When my husband surprised me with Kona as a puppy for Christmas, I introduced her to Jill who fell in love! I shared Kona’s info with her, and Jill happened to find Nola to adopt! Bam. INSTANT family!
Fun fact: Nola stayed with us the weekend of their shoot and Nola’s haircut was WAAAAY better than Kona’s. I used these pictures of Nola as a template guideline to resurrect Kona’s horrific recent cut. Now they’re TWINSIES! 😉
Jill & Matt live in PA, but they had their baby shower the weekend of our maternity photography session, which worked out perfectly. We had a tight timeline to accomplish this maternity shoot before we had to head to her shower. Mission accomplished- and I think Jill makes pregnancy look super gorgeous, don’t you think?!!
First off, this gal pal of mine just makes pregnancy look super duper EASY. She’s naturally photogenic and I absolutely love the play of light and dark coming from this scene at The Robey Chicago. This place was recently renovated and brought to life with this cool space. They serve up some great coffee here too… mmm!
