I am so ready and so excited to share all the beautiful Winter and Santa sessions today! It was so much fun documenting so many incredible families, I can’t believe it’s already over!
I definitely take a more lifestyle approach for these, as opposed to only getting your traditionally posed sessions. If you find yourself wondering what exactly “lifestyle” is, I got you, friend! To me, and for these sessions specifically, it’s less of your “just smile and look at the camera” and more about documenting the moments as they are happening. This captures more candid moments instead of posed. I find the lifestyle portrait approach to be such a good way to create a fun, happy and joy-filled environment. Especially with Santa, where little ones are notoriously not-so-happy around the jolly guy, my lifestyle approach allows the moments to happen organically! It’s so much fun and creates the best memories documented forever!
I do both a traditional Santa setup and a simple Winter setup, so there is something available to everyone! Every family was a BLAST! As a Chicago family photographer, one of my favorite things is seeing the cute outfits everyone decides on, especially during the holiday season at the Winter and Santa Sessions. And this year did not disappoint!
