Which image taken during our session was your favorite, & why?

I’ve got TWO!!

The image of Ella bouncing on her bed is magic. It so perfectly captures her beauty and spunk with her best buddy, Milo by her side. Her pink bedroom is the room I love most in our home. The image of Ella kissing Louie’s cheek laying on our bed is so emotionally raw and precious. She was a pistol the day of the shoot and Jenny was able to tame her for the most heart warming picture!

ADVICE FOR ROOKIE PARENTS:

The only plan is a loose sketch. Nothing goes exactly as planned anymore – from childbirth to child-rearing! Be kind, flexible, and okay with spontaneity and chaos. Give yourself a little grace. None of us know what we’re doing and it’s a hard balancing act!

Also, parenting is not a fight against your child but a fight against your own boredom.

out of everyone you could have picked, why were you drawn to work with me?

Jenny is a true artist who I trust wholeheartedly. She has become a friend over the last 4 years of working together and I adore her.

What was your biggest fear before hiring me?

The first time we hired Jenny was for Ella’s newborn shoot and I felt so much pressure to find a quality photographer who matched my taste and attention for detail as it was a big investment that I wanted to be perfect. For someone who is particular and type A, Jenny delivers.

If you were to recommend me to your bestie, what would you say?

Worth every penny!! Not only that, but she caters to mom in a way that makes you feel seen and respected when you have insecurities and perhaps a postpartum body you’re not so thrilled about. She makes sure I look beautiful in every shot- and that’s what every mom wants to feel!

anything else you want to share?

Jenny is the only person I will trust with our family’s memories. She so astutely captures personality and the beauty in candid moments while giving you the posed pics Grandma wants! She also has a wonderful eye for composition. All of our pictures feel like magazine spreads! My house is a shrine to Jenny’s work.

The sessions are also so much fun! She’s the toddler whisperer who knows how to make them feel like the star and motivate them to cooperate.

I’m beyond grateful to have such amazing client families that I can call friends. And it’s not often that folks get the opportunity to share their testimony and personal experience. (After all, we’re all tired parents, right?) So when I receive words of appreciation from a repeat fellow mama noticing all of the little details and care put into their photo session experience- it often stops me in my tracks and it renews my passion for what I do: your family memory maker-artist.
