This was one of my more emotional sessions to date. Every detail of this family session: the planning, meeting these wonderful souls, and processing these portraits has pulled on my mama heart strings. (Take out your box of tissues, mamas!) With her permission, this gorgeous mama has allowed me to share her story with you. She had originally booked a maternity session with me, only to lose her sweet baby boy at 22 weeks. This is something so hard for any mother to even imagine, but this mama experienced it first hand. Despite this hardship, she decided to commemorate the beauty of the family she already has, while also respecting the memory of her precious little boy, with these perfect blue balloons.

When you look at my photography, you will see some of the most beautiful moments of your life reflected back. Even if, when they occurred, they were hard. They will still always be amazing memories.

Every session, I get the privilege of meeting some of the most strong, hard-working, and sincere human beings. And some of you have experienced pain and heartache, and we’ve shared stories. It’s really beautiful getting to know each and every one of you, and sharing just how beautiful your family life is through my lens. It makes me appreciate my own even more. And the icing on the cake? Delivering a digital gallery directly to your inbox that makes you and yours simply giddy 🙂
