I have found my niche and passion as a mommy, wife, and as a newborn, child, and family lifestyle photographer.  ❤︎

It's important to not take yourself too seriously.

It's important to not take yourself too seriously.

I grew up watching my father develop his own films, and my mother is your typical Asian papparazzi. She always had her camera, and one of the first things we did when we went to Price Club (now termed Costco Wholesale) was to head over to the Print Lab to pick up all of our prints. We would pore over every image, fill up our albums at home, and giggle and gush over all of the fun moments we had as a family together. My two parents taught me to pay attention to detail, and not to take anything for granted.

Growing up in Virginia Beach, I went to school at Old Dominion University and got my bachelor's in Dental Hygiene. Working as a dental hygienist in Chicago for the past decade, I realized that although I really loved my job, my love for the field of dentistry was really derived from the relationships forged from seeing my patients.

Most recently, we had a hell of a year that really compelled me to reprioritize life. We had a one year old toddler (she is now a three-nager), bought an abandoned Chicago house, tore it down, and built a custom, brand new home. Every detail picked out by yours truly. On top of all of that, we found out we were expecting our second baby smack in the middle of construction! Life turned more interesting when a routine ultrasound turned ours into high risk, chock full of doubt and uncertainty.

Talk about life grabbing you by the collar and telling you to slow down and appreciate the little things.

Luckily for us, we have a happy ending. Life now is busy, a bit chaotic, unpredictable, and humbling- but I wouldn't have it any other way. It reminds me of why I gave up a solid career in dentistry to pursue this dream job of creating authentic, emotive images for my clients.

Life is so incredibly fulfilling when I get to spend time with all of YOUR blessings in life- babies, families, and your close-knit relationships. So when you book with me, I work hard, never give up, and make lemonade out of lemons. And because I'm OBSESSED with genuine, organic, and intimate moments that make you want just hug a little bit harder.

Moments are fleeting. I love to capture the ones that shape life, and make you feel like you were right there. I want to capture those intimate moments and connections that I would covet for myself. Let me do all the work and worrying about all of the details. I make it my duty to make my sessions easy and fun for everyone! I look forward to getting to know you and delivering your precious memories you'll share with your own grandchildren one day.
