Your Maternity Session:

What to Expect

Your pregnancy is beautiful period of time to showcase you and your glowing, growing form. You will never regret getting images of this timetable that just flies by too quickly. As you’ve probably seen with my work, my images convey natural emotion and realistic expressions. I will never make you uncomfortable, and I am sensitive to making you feel your BEST and show you in the most flattering light. Whatever the size of your family- whether it’s a family of two or five, I think it’s so important to retain fond tangible memories of what your family unit looked like right before the baby arrives.

Here’s a brief breakdown of how a photography session with me works:

Location: Together, we’ll select the best location for your session. Most women want to take advantage of one of the many outdoor locations Chicago has to offer, but some prefer the intimacy of their home. Totally up to you. 

Who is included in the session: Your maternity session is for you, your significant other and children, if this isn’t your first pregnancy. Yes, fur babies are welcome too! If children will be included, please know that I am experienced with working with kiddos of all ages and temperaments. It’s okay if they are active or silly!

Wardrobe: I want you to look and feel your best. Long dresses seem to be most comfortable and allow for gorgeous movement in images. I have complimentary access to my styled maternity wardrobe for all my clients. You can also view my ‘What to Wear Guide‘ post here for some additional tips, and basic make up advice here.
